Lunch Date
DH and I had a lunch date today. :)
He is in the city for a training class. We met for lunch and went to his old Chinese restaurant hangout.
It was by no means a fancy restaurant but it was romantic none the less. Hee hee. It was nice to spend the lunch hour with DH.
After lunch, we walked around the area before he dropped me off the train station so I could head back to work, 2 stops away.
It was the highlight of my day. :)
Question of the day: Do you take a leisurely lunch at work or do you power through lunch and eat at your desk?

I almost always take a one hour lunch and eat out. Every once and awhile I'll grab a salad or sandwich and work while I eat. I'm just not one of those people who can work 9 hours without a break.
Power through. Which is ridiculous since I can choose my hours and have no boss breathing down my neck. Yet I always find that I'm right in the middle of something I don't want to stop as soon as my tummy starts rumbling...
I have found myself, more often than not, taking a power lunch in my office. Especially since work has been sooo busy .... new grants, new programs, paperwork, deadlines, etc.
But you know, those types of lunches can be just the right kind of stress reliever that is needed for the day:)
I'm lucky sometimes if I get a lunch and that's on a 12 hr shift, that's also nursing.
I always take a lunch. I usually bring something so I meet up in the cafeteria with a friend and mill around for a half hour before returning to my floor to shoot some pool. Yes, there is a pool table in my office and I take full advantage of it. :D
aaron, you think you're cool or something? ;)
i walk with a group of co-workers every day in a cemetary. it sounds a spec morbid, right? it's not. it's really quite peaceful and there's no cars whizzing by... it's serene and pretty and it's a realllly nice way to breakup the day.
I like to think of lunch as an interruption to my day. But that could change if the right girl came along.
Neither I work through lunch...
I generally take about 30-40 minutes for lunch. On a busy day I eat at my desk, but I've spilled lots of stuff on my desk. Not good.
Kudos to you for having a lunch date with your husband - isn't it great to know you have a date forever?
How nice:) Long lunches rule!
